Indeed - too many ideas at the back and not enough in the front!

Is that an optional leather interior? Whats standard?

I think a posher cloth interior is standard

I have just received an email for a VIP event at Johnsons volkswagen birmingham. I might attend to see what they have on offer.

OK thx - so the weired looking two-tone leather is the optional version? The cloth is hopefully only one colour?

The cloth is also a bit weird. This leather is a £2500 extra

I actually quite like the look of this leather, but couldn't justify spending £2500 extra, on a car that probably should come with leather as standard

Is it just me or is that front grill too understated. It's almost as if VW are embarrassed they have created such a car and didn't want to brag and the seat options are poor.

Totally agree.... I know many will try to justify by saying its a bit of a Q car. However, I never buy into this philosophy. Its a top of the range hot hatch and the front bumper should be styled to reflect this accordingly. The Mk6 front bumper looking back at photos is much better in this respect.

I still wouldn't mind one though!

Even that is muddled with the frankly bonkers quad exhausts at one end and the "it could be an SE' look at the front...

Agree, the front should look more aggressive but overall I like it.  Cloth is standard but there are two optional leather options:

1. Carbon nappa option which comes in a choice of 2 different colour combinations.  Carbon/Anthracite/grey or Carbon/grey-beige - a whopping £2615

2.  Vienna black leather - £1700

Think the cloth is two-tone with the bolsters being lighter.  Of those choices, I'd go for the all black leather but it should be standard.
