This thread has a very tedious link to the mk7 and has been done to death in other parts of the forum, some of the replies don't even answer the question in the OP.

Just sayin.....

Short list for me as i've only just turned 22.

2003 Saxo VTR
2006 Corsa SXI+ (hated this car)
2008 MK5 Golf Bluemotion
2007 Mini Cooper S JCW edition
2014 VW Golf GTI PP

I have found the new Golf is the best all rounder car i've had. It just does everything i want it to do so effortlessly. The Mini was great fun too but became frustrating as the performance was so inaccessible.

J

Pretty much same age but owned even fewer cars.

1999 Renault Clio Rt 1.4
2009 Mk6 Golf SE TSI 1.4
2014 Mk7 Golf GTI PP (pick up 1 March)

The clio was a banter car too many good memories there. Mechanically was a piece of s***

1984 Vauxhall Nova 1.0
1987 Rover 213
1992 Citroen AX 1.0
1992 Citroen AX 1.0
1991 Vauxhall Nova 1.4 SRI
1997 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2
1998 Citroen Saxo VTR
2000 Seat Arosa 16v Sport
2002 Seat Leon Cupra
2004 Skoda Fabia VRs
2004 Mini Cooper
2006 Fiat Grande Punto Sporting TDI
2006 Vauxhall Meriva VXR
2008 Mini Clubman CooperD
2008 VW Jetta Sport TDI
2014 VW Golf GTD (Coming Soon)

Biggest mistake was buying the Punto, its an omen when the car breaks as you are pulling off the dealers forecourt after you collect it.

The only car I was sorry to see go was the Mini Clubman, cracking car quite quick, economical but fun to drive. I'm hoping that the Golf will tick the same boxes as the Mini.
