Gti 1.8t Aum and Agu

Yesterday night I was out with my mate in the 1.8t his being an Agu, we have the same pipe,he has an induction kit and I don't, he pulled past me hooning it in 1st second and 2nd, and he hit the limiter, I'm.just wondering why you can't really hear the limiter when your driving but when you hear it from the exhaust it sounds like it's bogging but it's not it kinda goes bluurrrrrrrp but it sounds awesome! just wondering why it does that and doesn't go waaaaaaaa bam.bam bam bam if you get me? cheers

If you want a "waaaaaaaa bam.bam bam bam" then you need a hard cut limiter

I'm not fussed it's just I wondered why it sounds the way it does from the exhaust like a bluurrrrrrrp noise, but you can't hear it from the engine like no limiter but a nice bluurrrrrrrp from the exhaust? if I don't make sense just remove my post
