The rear window and rear side windows look good tinted. If you choose a reputable company to do it then you shouldn't have any issues.

Just don't go for chrome!

Providing you stick to an OEM looking shade, then yes. Especially as your car is TR.

Hey guys. Thanks for the quick replies.
Yeah,I would need to find a quality company to do it. Most around my way simply go overboard with the tints, and imo just make the car stand out for all the wrong reasons.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a reputable company,it'd be much appreciated. I'm based in staines-upon-thames,surrey. Many thanks in advance.

I know this is another issue completely. But does anyone also have any experience fitting the Autohaus Wolfsburg - ABT Number Plate Surround. Need to fit my private plate once new v5c comes through the post. Like the look of those surrounds, but have heard they can be very diddly to fit. Especially the front one.

Sorry for such a long post! Will stop typing now! :lipsrsealed:

Personally I think that plate holders look out of place on modern, smooth fronted cars.

Just do the surround on the rear. It looks fussy on the front.

Also, do a general post in VW chat for places that do tints down in Surrey as you'll get a better response.

What level of tints did you go for Missy?
Thanks for the recommendation of 'Phantom'. Are they very expensive. Will definitely look them up online. Any pics of the motor after tints done?

If you don't mind travelling a bit, then Pentagon in Reading are superb. They have done two cars for me now and the quality is fantastic. They will talk you through the various shade options. They can match OEM tints.
