Weird Discover Pro Map Freeze

Having had my car now for almost 4 months, I have started to analyse when my Discover Pro goes wrong. EVERY  time I travel to Birmingham airport and I turn off the M42 south bound and turn right to the airport, the map freezes as I hit the exit slip road, EVERY time if I actually have the map on.. maddening but extremely odd?? Does anyone else have similar problems...

I went to the NEC to see the Autosport Racing Show, and Discovery Pro worked fine going up from Dorset.  On my return journey, it started my route guidance again until I was coming out of the NEC car park.  As I drove up the exit road to go south onto the M42 the screen froze, although I could still get instructions on the small screen in front of the driver.  Even after stopping for a short while, it was still frozen, and I tried holding the on/off knob for five seconds but it still didn't clear.  Only after leaving it overnight was all back to normal, and it has not frozen since. So anyone coming out of the NEC or Birmingham airport, make sure you have an old fashioned map on board.

Yes, same with me, the route guidance works, but the main map freezes, bizarre that that part of Brum seems to affect Golfs this way...

It's the atmospheric conditions in Brum, even the birds fly backwards to keep the sh!t out their eyes!
