GTD Front electric windows
« on: 17 February 2014, 09:23 »
I've recently noticed that the front windows on my 5dr GTD no longer close using the 1 touch setting, however the rear windows work fine using this method.  The both front windows open and close without an issue but you have to hold the button to fully close on the drivers console.  I will try the passenger window switch tonight and see if that works.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Car is still under warranty so will ring VW today.

They may just need resetting. Press and hold the button whilst the window goes all the way down, then pull it up and hold it whilst the window goes all the way up.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Tried the above last night but no joy. Will ring VW today and get it resolved.

The passenger and rear electric windows work fine but on the drivers console the front windows go down with one touch but not back up.  The rears go up and down with one touch.

Cheers for the update, I will try it multiple times before taking it in.

First available appointment with a courtesy car is the 13th March in Newport.....

I want to get the issue solved before I attempt to sell it privately.

New switch pack added and issue resolved.  Warranty claim.
