Mark 5 programming NEW additional fob
« on: 16 February 2014, 09:03 »
I'm sure this request has been made 100 times before but everywhere I get conflicting stories so I thought I'd be as specific as I can....

My 2005 model Gti came with 1 key. I tried a local independent vehicle locksmith and despite being very good he was unable to "read" the code he needed to provide an additional fob. He had to direct me to my main dealer.

I've ordered a new (cut) key fob (3 button type) for £144 but they want another £60 to program it to my car.

I've been told this but can be done "easily".

Guidance would be appreciated.

If you got the login code then yes.
