A reg Mk2
« on: 30 August 2005, 17:04 »
I have an A reg mk2 that I have bought, needs a lot of work doing but shell is immaculate.  It was imported from Germany 5 or 6 years ago I think.  It is Right hand drive.  The question I have is, is it worth doing up i.e. are these worth anything because it looks totally different to any other mk2 I've ever seen. I was just wondering if people actually collected these  ones? It looks kind of like a hybrid between a mk1 and mk2.  It has an extra couple of stripes along the bottom above the sills as well.  Personally I think she's gorgeous or could be when she is done up.  Gonna get started on her tomorrow just wanted to see what the general jist was

Macro, was this one going on e-bay and other sites recently? If it is its Lhasa green?

If you think its worth then it is, it depends on wether or not doing it as an investmest or a car to keep? I doubt theres much money in it for profit, but as a personal car it is a very rare model, especially with MK1 gti stripes. I would be very keen to compare MK2 against it as I have been told that mine has some unusual bits that aren't on the younger MK2's mine is May 85 B-reg.

Post a list of what needs doing to it, I'm sure these guys will advise you.....
