Good chance your old exhaust was nakered and loud so when you changed it was no different. If you was to buy a new standard exhaust it will be very quiet.
If you want noise then run a straight pipe just to backbox and run a decat pipe also. So no silencers or cat from manifold to backbox. This will be very loud and will pop and bang.
Also for noise cut a big hole in your airbox. I had two. A enclosed modified standard box for performance and a airbox that I cut a huge chunk out of with a saw.
