water leak ......
« on: 09 February 2014, 08:33 »
I really thought I escaped the leaky golf syndrome thats been occurring as of late but evidently not I have 3 leaks 2 are rear bumper vent things easy fix except I have to take the rear off for the 3rd time this week lol the other is the passenger footwell it seems to be collecting in the back left of the footwell near the matts locking tab thing. I had the door card off for other reasons and the door skin itself isnt wet so its not the window reg panel I dont believe its coming from the dash area as the carpets bone dry so where the bloody hell is it coming from ???

Lol wez it sucks ! I just spent the whole day stripping everything out AGAIN drying the carpet and re routing the sub cable 3 Years ago I couldnt find the grommet next to the polen filter so I ran it through the wing into the side and never siliconed it im 80% sure it was that if not I think its flooding over the door sill either way everything is sealed up and dry ready for the next bout of rain to ruin it all again lol

I havnt checked to see if its still leaking but it did rain last night so il go and have a look in abit. If its stopped it was either my bodgy amp cable run or the grommet were my vac pipe for my boost gauge comes in. If it is still wet my guess is the bottom door sill is flooding over
