Thanks guys, sounds like it IS possible, just might be a bit more expensive depending on the exact date of manufacture (am just waiting to get them is info).

I'm in Suffolk, so if anyone knows of any independents that could sort me out :)

(am also looking to get satnav retrofitted... That's another thread )

Whilst cruise control is a nice feature to have, how many people actually use it in this country? Especially those with manual gearboxes.

Other than very early mornings on empty motorways, I never use mine.

Agree.  That's why I never bothered speccing cruise on mine, knew I'd never use it.  Never bothered with parking sensors either 'cos if you can't park it, you shouldn't be driving it

Too right. Although a rear camera would be useful for hitching up to a trailer. Talking of which, I read in VW Driver mag that the new Passat will have the first ever trailer reversing assist. If you can't reverse a trailer, you shouldn't be driving in my opinion.

Not yet. I've only had mine for just over a year, so it will be with me for a little longer.

I did get a trade tip off about a T5, but the seller ended up trading it in for a new one. Once the hit the retail market, they no longer stack up. I'm in no rush.

Having parking sensors and a camera has nothing to do with the ability to park and the ability to drive. People with back problems for instance don't need to turn round if they have sensors and a camera. Are you saying people with back problems shouldn't be driving

Does that mean people with back problems never reversed or parked before the advent of sensors and reversing cameras, did they just drive on and on and on .....?
