MAF supplier?
« on: 05 February 2014, 14:23 »
Hi, my engine was running really badly and fault codes pointed to MAF. Engine runs much better when MAF is disconnected. Cleaned and refitted it and now have permanent ASR warning light and engine management light. I am going to replace the MAF - can anyone recommend a supplier (and rough price?). VW price is around £130!  2002 1.8T

Personally I'd only get one from VW, if you get a cheaper one from GSF/ECP it will be reconditioned and will not last. I went through 2 cheap ones in 18 months before biting the bullet and getting one from VW.

Or try your local Bosch agent, they were cheaper than genuine when I needed one.

I have ordered a new MAF from VW, looked at buying direct from Bosch but they are £130 same as VW. Hope to fit it tomorrow if it arrives...
