Selling my gti
« on: 02 February 2014, 19:24 »
Hi guys
After loving my golf for the 6 months I have owned it I am just about to move jobs which provides me with a company car.
This obviously means I'm having to sell my pride and joy but wanted your opinions on the best place to sell.

I noticed eBay do a 28 day listing for a classified ad costing just £14.99 with no further fees.

What are your guys opinions of eBay?  Not sure petrol heads has a big enough market share yet and autotrader Is stupidly high fees.

Thanks for the input

P.sl if anyone is after a black 59plate (2010) gti, sat nav, unmarked 18" monzas,  manual, cloth, with 27k miles give me a shout.

IMO ebay is the where you get most activity but a lot of it is usually dreamers/pisstakers offering you pennies.
Autotrader usually gives better people but less of them.. I would go for ebay, piston heads and auto trader and just get it out there.

Currently Standard !!

I sold my car last week after advertising on forums for a total of 4 days. if its a good car you won't need to bother with ebay, autotrader and the likes. use the classifieds on here, edition38 and any other vag forums you use.

Yeah it's in great condition. Will post some pics up in next few days. Bit gutted as my company car is going to be an Astra. Major step down but can't complain as it's free!

Think I might go for eBay and put up on some forums then and see how it goes

Not quite free, remember you'll pay tax on it, more if you get private fuel paid for by the company too.

guys
link to the sale http://r.ebay.com/RQM3IE

i'm so tempted to keep it and stuff the company car but new boss wont pay mileage

price may seem high but i have looked about whats around my area and thats more than competitive taking into account condition, extras and mileage, and i have 7 months left insurance so it can sit on my drive and be a weekend run abouts for a while!!!
