Just read that at the fastivus 2014, (May) you will get a chance to see the apr tuned mk7 gti...

Excellent. I look forward to seeing that. I have a feeling it's going to be an absolute beast. Hope that means they'll release real remaps then.

The dealer that sold me the car at my local VW dealership said that a remap is possible and could be made under warranty within a workshop cooperated by Volkswagen. It's 3x the price of a normal re-map but I feel safe putting up more money for a dealership/warranty-covered performance enhancement. I didn't go into further detail with the dealer as he advised me not to touch the car's mechanics before 6k on its clock. I am not sure if that workshop already has re-mapped other Mk7 GTIs as the dealer had said that only about 45-50 units have been sold from when they were first released in my country 2 months ago. I even asked around performance/tuning shops and no luck as to if it is possible to re-map the Mk7. Some didn't even know about the car!

Superchips say they do not have a method of modifying the gtd because of a new type engine management security. They say they are currently evaluating a plug in tuning box that is currently running on a 2.0ltr tdi 150.
