Vw golf mk3 key prob help!!!!!

I fitted an rclick central lovking fob recently. I also got key cut. But they said i need to do teansponder. I didnt think i had one in there. Wel i started the car with new key but it kept on dying. Is there a trnsponder in old key?

yes it's small and glass so be careful when removing it (or tape an old key up near/under the ignition), although this may be against your insurance!
