Anyone used JOM Blueline Coilovers?

Just wondering what these coilovers are like? I've heard people are saying there good but they seem quite cheap? anyone using them on a 1.8t?

I used them on my old mk4, did the job and ride was fairly firm, same as my mk3. They can be very hit and miss though...some people say they only last 12-18months, a friend of mine has had the same set on 3 mk3s over 4years, and they're wound right down...

think i paid £165 for my Mk4 ones, £155 for the Mk3...

yeah I don't wanna buy them and they be a waste of money, I just want the car to handle better and not be slammed but lower if you get me?

Just remember you may have problems with your a.r.b fouling when lowering!

I have used FK on several of my cars and the only thing I recommend is to ensure they are protected from seizure but that's same on all "budget" coils (I use grease myself)

they do look smart, how to they handle? I don't mind a hard ride, I just don't want a set that are gonna be unreliable

most/all budget coilovers are firm but fk don't seem as hard as some out there

FK have being around years (much longer than jom etc and to stay in business they must e doing something right) and they use a koni shock design also you can buy each part of the kits separate (more important if running at full drop as seals can fail after several years but this also effects expensive set up's)

I ran JOMs on my 1.8t for over 2 years with no problems. Replaced them with Weitec Hicon GTs and wish I'd kept the JOMs to be honest. The JOMs were more comfortable, wound down lower, and one of Weitec rear shock absorbers popped right after the warranty ran out.
