That's horrific mate! Seems food standards are going badly for big companies lately. In case you missed it, fancy finding a wasp in your Dairy Milk!

Thats a Moth or Beetle larve and would have died if it was sealed in the pack as they drive the oxygen out to make sure it does not spoil. The pack was either damaged in the shop or transport to it for the bug to get in, either way you should get some free crisps out of it

I don't know how it got there, it would have had to get through the multipack bag and then the crisp packet which I find unlikely, the mrs said the bag was intact ,had no reply from walkers yet!

I used to work in the food packaging industry, one things for sure someone is sweating over this
We had all sorts of beasties get in to our product lines, at one company my first job on a machine refurb was to scrape the rodent faeces and animal bones off a Crumpet machine for a famous food producer :lipsrsealed:
Things have changed a lot it really is not that bad anymore, apart from the odd bug

Sorry to hear about the horrible experience. I know that the idea of your child eating a maggot is a bit disgusting, but the good news is that they are high in protein and perfectly fine to eat. That doesn't excuse the fact that you found it in the bottom of a bag of crisps. I know it would certainly turn my stomach regardless of how much protein they have in them. The company will most likely try and send you free products to try and make up for the problem. I have to wonder if this is a once in a lifetime thing, or if they have had issues before with this. I hope it works out for you in the end.
