since i bought the car the key fob has never worked, iv replaced batteries, tried recoding the key, new chips in the key new modules in the car, all to no avail, gave up on trying to fix it last year and just settled with using the key in door and turning the ignition on within 10 seconds.

parked up at work today and as i went to put keys in pocket and squeezed the key and i heard a noise behind me

"noooo, that cant be my car opening again"

*press the lock button*

it works!

no idea how its fixed its self, or why, or what part was broken but hey ho, im not complaining.

when i get home ill test spare key, see if that works.

yep. had it replaced last year.

thats what i meant by the "new modules in car" couldnt remember what its called convenience control module or something iirc
