When I used pristine I had my winter alloys on so did not use their exchange service, do ring them and ask as I found them very helpful with any questions I asked, very happy with results just about to send my other 2 monzas off as the goodyear f1s need replacing for the better weather!

Thanks, another happy customer hmm looks like these guys are the place to go! How long ago did you get them done?

Visited the local wheel refurber today that i mentioned he showed me lepsons work they appear to be cowboys trip powdercoat out the door no time or care taken he then showed his work over the last ten years every set fantastic some of the best work i've ever seen, he recommends never to get a set of wheels powder coated as they cause nothing but problems if water gets underneath at any point it will corrode away and you will never know so paint it is :)

Good Morning,

Can any one here give some feed back on their refurbished Monza 2 shadows/ diamond cut alloys? I have read through various threads on the site but no one seems to write about the longevity of the refurb work carried out.
I'd really like to read your thoughts.

Best Regards

Keith.

Just had 5 Monza's recut by Lepsons at £90 per wheel inc carriage - extremely pleased with them as they were all in an appalling shape. The lacquer coating IMO is now thicker than before so I would expect them to stand the test of time.

The challenge is getting tyre garages to put the tyres back on them without causing fresh damage. Certainly don't trust the usual suspects with an air gun - it's much better to put the wheels on the car yourself with a decent torque wrench.
5DR GTI PP 7.5, Indium, ordered 28 April 17, delivered 1 Sept 17, 19" Brecias, DSG, Lane Assist Plus, Discover Pro, Dynaudio, Reverse cam, DCC, Climate screen, Art Velour seats, 90% tints.

GTI history: MK7 PP Reflex Silver, MK6 Carbon Grey; MK5 United Grey; MK4 Reflex Silver; MK3 Tornado Red; MK2 Atlas Grey

Thanks very much for the feed back, there doesn't seem to be much information on here about how the refurbs  are lasting after the Lepsons guarantee has expired (is it still 12 months?).

Best Regards

I had some refurbed but all it takes is bad tyre fitter or stone chips and your back to square one, spoke with the guy who owns pristine alloy refurbs and he's ended up just painting his in high gloss silver with black inners, think that's the route I will take when the white worm comes back!
