Nowhere near a true Northerner. I think you have to be up above Manchester before you can be considered as one. We are caught in the middle, but not really Midlanders. Welsh Borders seems to fit well with most folk, but anyone from below us will always be a Southerner.

Fancy you been from Yorkshire tho'. My wifes step father, Brian was from Ripon. Do you know him?

Haha, no, I'm from West Yorkshire - Halifax.  I've moved about a bit though, having lived in Lancashire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Kent.  Ironically, my least favourite is Kent  :huh:

Ripon is lovely, better than Halifax  :grin:

Has anyone used Pristine's wheel exchange?

Interested in this as I'm picking up a GTI on Tuesday and two wheels need a refurb. Id rather sort it myself so i know who's done the work and the quality of it and Ive only heard good things about Pristine. Can't have the car off the road for two or three days though so the exchange interests me.

Not sure if you've read whole thread mate but i think pristines mentioned not positive tho

When I used pristine I had my winter alloys on so did not use their exchange service, do ring them and ask as I found them very helpful with any questions I asked, very happy with results just about to send my other 2 monzas off as the goodyear f1s need replacing for the better weather!
