Mint OEM wheels are worth the price of a good refurb in my opinion. They make the car look like it's well cared for. Replacement wheels shout out that the previous, original wheels were bashed beyond repair, therefore showing a lack of care.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I've tried but if you look at these wheels the wrong way they get marked

I think thats a silly statement tbh what if your car hasn't got the original tyres does that mean its not been cared for?

Donate your wheels? How about f**k off!

Don't think your donating its seems like a part exchange

Thats exactly what I mean and wrote!

The relevancy in this lies within ones desire to sell up. I'm happy with my Mk6 for now and will be for some time.

If it's got cheap mismatched tyres, absolutely 100%! It shows that corners have been cut on maintaining the car properly.

Haven't used Pristine in recent years but they did my Clio Williams wheels in the correct gold with a polished lip which most refurb miss off, did a fantastic job and really made the car look great.

I don't really understand what your point is. Tyres wear out regardless, but wheels don't get damaged without some sort of carlessness.

Another option is the dealers I was offered £120 per wheel for refurbed shadows and he said they order them in but they switch them on your car there and then and then you donate your monzas back to be refurbed and then go to someone else!

Trouble with this option is you have know way of knowing what the refurb quality is like.  Dealer orders them in, but from where?  Who does the refurbishment work?  Convenient maybe but too many unknowns.
