So your saying no to yellow? I really think the blue and yellow will go together! I'm just gonna try white black and yellow! Haha! RS 4 Pots? What colour ;)? (I'll steal ideas haha!) will the 35mm be noticeable do you think?

I think that most of us are saying no to yellow as they will emphasise your teeny weeny brakes. It's really not a good look.

People that know cars, will give an approving nod to a subtle 35mm drop, but they'll just snigger at standard calipers painted yellow. Do the job properly, or leave it alone.

Candy purple - don't do it Matty   There's a car round here with purple calipers and it looks truly awful.  It doesn't matter how good the rest of the car looks, all you notice is the tacky purple.  Candy purple rarely looks good on anything.  Matt black - no.

OP - if you've got the paint, then try it but I'm betting it's not long before you change them.  Whilst your car colour looks good against the yellow Porche, that won't necessarily translate well onto to little brakes.

So maybe I get huge brakes and that solves everything, how hard is it too fit big brakes and what kind of price are we talking? Okay, I'm happy with 35mm being subtle, still have to tell the insurance though, and they want £40 the robbing b*stards.

If your telling me to go yellow so I look ridiculous, I won't be happy ;) hahaha!! I'm gonna try it, see what everyone's thoughts are ( which I think I know what they are anyway) , and then potentially go and buy some MORE black paint ;) I'll have to see how they look!

To be fair, I had milk bottle tops for brakes on my corsa c and I painted them ;)

Right I've been given some spacers aswell, (for free!), I've been told to steer clear from spacers ( due to the amount of miles I do ) is it wears tyres or other components down, is this true?

Front wheel drive cars with independent rear suspension, especially those with larger wheels, can suffer from uneven rear tyre wear. Lots of us have suffered it. It's generally down to too much rear toe in. It only needs to be out by a fraction of a degree to cause issues.

My car is totally standard and has had it's alignment set up at VW and now drives like a completely different car, with no tyre wear issues at all. They are very sensitive to the slightest changes in geometry. Lowering and modest spacers will need the suspension geometry setting up accordingly, so budget at least another £100 if you want to do the job properly.
