Exhaust HELP !!!!!!

Hi Guys

I want to buy this exhaust http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-Mk4-2-0-GTi-Sportex-Performance-Exhaust-inc-Race-Tube-Single-3-/291059437986?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43c47e91a2 however im unsure if it will fit my anni valance cut out correctly, iv done a few google's and can see that some Sportex exhausts go straight under the bumper and valance like this:

and other dont.

I've ask the guy selling them and he said:
"The tailpipe will fit into the 'cut out' on an Anniversary rear apron.

To my knowledge the apron on an Anniverary model hangs below the line of the original rear bumper.. So the cut-out it present to allow the fitment of a standard type exhaust.. To a certain extent then the amount the tailpipe hangs below the bumper is dependant upon how worn the mounting rubbers are..
If you are sensative on this issue I would suggest that you purchase a different item, as I cannot guarantee exactly where the tailpipes will within 25mm or so..

think it will sit lower (the exhaust) so wont look right

Buy the sportex one and modify it.

I have that same exhaust, i cut a neat curve in the bumper and it sits perfectly, it takes a lot of unbolting and bolting back up to get it perfect but once it's done it sounds great and pops and bangs a treat!!

Go local exhaust place and get a custom one made. 3" inward rolled tip will look good with anni valance..

Yup dont know if you memba when had that car repaired due to being hit..had to get full anni kit back in to respray was same day the exhaust got done.. goin back 4 years now old memories

that exhaust looks great on lb5n colour. wondered how mine owuld look with a single tip not twin now i like that. who made that?
