Possible MK5 GTI owner...

 Hello all, I'm Martin from S. Wales. Just found this site whilst surfing the net looking for info on the MK5 GTI and looks good on here .
The closest car to one of these I have owned in the past was most probably a 252BHP MK1 RS Focus I sold back in 2008.
I have been looking for something to use on my days off etc after selling my garage ornament Sapph Cosworth and a close mate of mine has just offered me his 2008, 27,000mls, manual red 5dr, full Vag history, heated leather, sat nav and 18" Monzas couple of mm's left on tread (1 kerbed and will want refurb).
He has owned the car from new and only uses it on w/ends.
Does 9k sound reasonable? I would be looking at some mild tuning if I buy it, maybe remap, filter, exhaust etc...

With that kind of milage and the fact its 1 owner from new and sounds a nice car I would think thats pretty cheap.
