right after me fixing the air filter everything seems to be going pete tong first of all the the steering seems to be making a rubbing whining sensation/noise any ideas also seems to be a rattle from somewhere like a piece of metal coming loose cannot find the culprit and for some reason the car dont like second gear in between 1500-2500rpm when foots not on the go pedal
any help would make my day

i have trouble getting into second. They say that a weighted shift rod from a mk3 cures this problem and with the crunch you get.

does it rattle over bumps? Hold the breaks when you go over a bump. if the noise goes away then the pads are just rattling against the disk/caliper. Sometimes the pad retainer clips fall off or need bending into hape again

btw where is the noise coming from??

check your steering fluid. mine was low and made a crap noise

as far as the steering goes its more a vibration coming through the steering column as for second gear il give you an axmplew when turning into a road obviously select second turn into corner no gas and then it starts juddering like crazy like when you dont have enough revs in 3rd or 4th get me. steering fluid isnt that for pas only

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem?  Are you K-Jet or Digi?  Have you checked the fuel filter for mice?!

aye i know its got fuel problems just waiting to get it to a tuners, its k-jet.
