Driving profile modes - What they change
« on: 17 January 2014, 10:51 »
Don't know if this is of interest to anyone, but was browsing though one of my VW self study guides for the MK7, and came across a description of what each of the driver profile modes actually changes. Thought it might of interest to some ?

So Comfort and Eco are essentially the same settings?

No, because its softer, the light and air con work as they should and the ACC isnt as retarded

Very interesting thread Sootchucker!

I wasn't actually aware that the exhaust had a variable volume and didn't notice it when I test drove the car. I'll certainly be trying it out when I collect the car (still 6 weeks away... )

Thanks Sootchucker!

So freewheeling can only be done in Eco? That's a bit disappointing, and means I need not bother experimenting with setting up Individual at all now...

I'm happy with Comfort for most driving, and Sport for having fun

On the GTi it is only internal.

In the UK yes but in other markets the GTD gets the external speaker in the exhaust.
