HELP removing the bolt that holds the battery down!

Anyone got any ideas how  I can remove this - wanna get my battery out to recharge it and this is being a b***h !  Is it worth me just trying to bend it out and then put a new one in after? + the lack of room isn't helping :-(


As you can see it looks solid and its pretty rounded now no matter what I try

apply some WD40 and wack a slightly smaller socket over the whole bolt to undo it if its rounded.

or pass me a hammer and ill do it for you

not sure you'll get a smaller socket on,  maybe an old imperial one...

i'd soak thougherly in wd then chissel it round

should come eventually...           good luck

Get some 'easy outs'  mate, they look a bit like a thread tap but with a left hand thread(tapered), simply drill the right size hole in the middle of the bolt then screw the easy out into the hole anti clock wise and it will tighten in and remove the bolt. hope this is of some help to you!

aye i did that to a head bolt which sheared off got a small socket whacked it on with a hammer hey presto got the bolt out works everytime

i did somethings simular with a rounded allen key bolt, used a star shaped socket and smacked it in

your best tryin the smaller socket 1st, if that fails use the easy out, then if that fails go back in your house sit in the corner and cry
