Current lead time for a new GTI?
« on: 14 January 2014, 09:53 »
Hi Guys,
I've been told that there is a 6 month waiting list for new factory order GTI's. Is this correct?
It seems like a pretty long time for a Golf...

Ordered mine on the 1st of November. Delivered to dealer on the 9th of January. I'm going to be abroad for my planned March pickup so have to wait til the end of March. Gutted!
I think it might depend on dealer allocation, cancelled orders and in some cases optional extras can affect the lead time

Well I was told (at the beginning of November 2013), that I should expect it to be a minimum of 6 months and maybe 8 months - but mine is being made this week for March 1st delivery ..... so that's 15 weeks!

Haha, similar here. I was told 4 to 6 months, so I ordered in November for a March delivery. It seems to be hit or miss!
