« on: 13 January 2014, 12:38 »
I have still got the standard inter cooler on my stage 2 agu (237bhp) now will this cause me any issues I would like to stay side mount if at all possible I don't want pipework out of the front bumper as I'm trying to go for a clean sleeper look anyone got any suggestions as when summer comes is when I will have any issues with the std side mount

wownt have any issues with it, jsut wownt be running its full  potental.

fmic would give you more horsies.

if you really want to stick with smic then get a larger one.

however if you buy the right kit, you can fit the grills etc back in so cant see the fmic.

I'm amazed that you're running 237bhp with the standard one tbh, when were you last on the rollers? In summer expect to see very quick heat soak without a fmic.

In terms of hidden front mounts, mine is from only charged dubs and is completely stealth. I'll dig out a picture later.

Rollers was winter time that's what I was wondering about summer I would love a stealthy front mount but as I say the only thing is I want to look inconspicuous as the car is only lightly modded on the outside don't get me wrong they do make a car look mean but just not my style

Mine is completely hidden:

I sprayed it matte black as well so it can't be seen at all:

It's this kit here (my car is the one shown in the pics):

The kit was fitted at OCD as they used my car to develop it. You still have to trim the rear of the bumper as you do with all fmic's, this cannot be seen from the front though.

The core is similar to the THS one so is very good.
