On Friday the drivers side under beam flexi burst. It had been rubbing and finally let go.
It was one of the wiser jobs I have had the pleasure of doing on axle stands. Finally got it replaced and bled.
But the original Vw solid line was rusted, and instead if the connection spinning freely, it twisted the pipe. Eventually managed to twist the pipe off at the rubber end.

It's leak free, and bleeds well, but I'm not happy with the old pipe. The sh!tter is it disappears under the fuel tank.  God I wish it was the passenger side. Has anyone attempted this before?
I can get a new VW pipe or make my own. It's just the under tank bit.

Also braided hose kits. The mk4 has 6 rubber hoses. Front calipers. Under beam, then rear calipers attached to hard lines.
Do goodridge, HEL link long lines from rear caliper to under beam?

Paul

Most kits will only have the small link popes for the back and the front lines. I have some custom made intermediate hoses on mine.  I wanted to get some replicated but my local hydraulic hose guy won't make brake lines up as he's not allowed to apparently...

6 line kits are available if you look around to cover them all.

Drop the tank and make a new pipe up

Ah, I was hoping the rear lines are quite long. Go from the caliper under the beam and connect to the main body hard lines

Looking at the rear lines there pretty long.
So do they go from the caliper to under the rear beam main body lines (getting rid of the rear solid lines and the silly small rear rubber lines)

If I can get under mine today I'll take a pic but yes basically from the caliper all the way back to the beam

Top man. Would be greatly appreciated.
If you could have a look at the solid line too. See if it's a tank out job :(
