Clean Mk7s
« on: 11 January 2014, 12:44 »
Thought it would be a nice idea to show off our clean Mk7s. I got some new AutoGlym stuff for Christmas and finally got to try it out.

I use:
PH Neutral Snow Foam
AG Shampoo
AG Super Resin Polish
AG HD Wax
AG Glass Polish

My results:

Cheers mate, mine was the same. Think it'd not been washed in about 3 weeks. Stick some photos up when you're done. (They can't be any worse than my attempt)

Just washed mine too. Just a normal 2 bucket wash with G-wash over my C2V3, which is still holding up as well as day 1 - still gleaming and making crap just slide off effortlessly.

Giving great consideration to painting the hub part of the discs (as they have a bit of rust on them) and my calipers - when the warmer weather comes.Black gloss hubs (to match the wheel shadows) and red calipers or black hubs and black calipers?
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I think Black Gloss with Red Calipers mate. I'm considering doing that, like you say, when the weather is better.

Surprised you used polish on a new car with its mild cutting compound? A wax would've been a better treatment, looks great though, nice job!

Eventually got round to washing mine today after 3 weeks of neglect. I usually wash her every week but not been able to recently because of man flu

Anyway I couldn't believe the amount of tar build up on the car and with pure white it really stands out badly. Fortunately the tar remover worked an absolute treat although it took me twice as long to clean. It's just a small reminder to me to make sure I keep on top of the washing otherwise it will be a bugger to maintain
