[Solved] Malfunction on Mk2 16V MFA

Hi all,

We just bought an 89(F) 16V and have noticed a couple of strange effects on the MFA, namely :

1. Cannot reset either mode by holding the switch to the reset point.
2. It doesn't reset after 2 hours with the ignition off.
 (only way to reset is to disconnect battery)

It seems to me that the switch thinks it's locked in the 2(total) position, is this common?  We can get a new stalk for it for ?20 but I'd rather check it out first rather than waste the money.

Just noticed I never showed this as fixed.  The PCB ribbon had been damaged and I have now managed to repair it by soldering wires across the break.  All is fine with it now.
