Bloody noise doing my head in HELP!!

Hi I keep hearing a noise coming from my dashboard now in the drivers side I swear you can hear it on the left hand side, but sit in the passenger side and the noise moves to the right!! Its the most baffling thing ever.
Anyone know what it could be?

What kind of noise? Rattle? Squeak? Bang? Knock?

sort of have the same noise on mines. Like a rattle on lower revs just above idle and usually goes away after 1k to 1.5k revs.

Could be an exhaust heatshield and the vibration is being transmitted through the cabin something to look at/for?

To be honest it sounds like something rolling up and down inside my dashboard like a coin or marble.
Totally p***ing me off lol

My heatshield is gone 

Mines sounds like plastic vibrating up the column
