4.Madza RX8 231Bhp. In grey (2006 model) Unique style,Good performance Everybody made comments about it. Handled like a dream- The best car that i have ever driven== Bar none== 10/10

5.BMW 318is coupe E36 (1996 model) in met green. The best allrounder/ not fast enough 7.5/10

You don't mention shocking fuel and, in many cases, oil consumption, terrible residuals etc... it was so good you didn't have another  Having driven one myself (my mate had one), I quite liked it  but I was glad I hadn't sunk my own money into it...

Interesting! I have come very close in the past to buying 2 of the cars on your list. I very nearly bought an RX-8 a few years back, then changed my mind at the last minute and bought a Mk5 Golf GTI instead! I was glad I did as it was the best all round car I've had, and the reason why a new GTI is on it's way to me now!

When I was 18 I also very nearly bought a 318is Coupe with the M-Tech (as it was then before M-Sport!) bodykit. I loved the look of the E36 coupe with the kit on, and loved the way it drove too. At the time I couldn't afford the insurance but I've since looked at them as a second 'project' car to restore to original condition.

Who knows, the day may come!
MK7 GTI 3-Door DSG, Tornado Red, Discover Nav, Winter Pack, ACC, Keyless Go, Reversing Camera, Service Pack... Ordered 28th Oct... Collected 1st March!

No way a Masda RX8.
Cost of insurance is high, no back seat, poor gas milage, low torque, not fast, noisy.  Plus consumers hell of a lot of oil. Expensive to fix.

The RX8, generally a car thats had more engine rebuilds than owners.

Some Mazda dealers refuse to take them as part ex now.

Mazda RX8 is a awesome car to drive!!

Sh!t car to own. If your forget about fuel and oil consumption and apex seal issues they are good. Will I own one? No. Will I tell a mate to get one? No.

But still a drivers car.

1. Audi 80 Sport in black, more door saloon.(1986 model) gangster ride, a mans car in every sense, people love it & I still use it for local runs. can't see myself selling it, purely a 7/10 because its so enjoyable to drive.

2. Rover 216i auto in red(1995 Model) Powered by the legendary honda b16. It not's nice to look at but its reliable & frugal on fuel, nice run around currently being used as the powerleague minibus for monday nights 5/10

3. Nissan Skyline R33 GTST(1999 model) In silver. The best induction sounding car ever, all i did was slap a mushroom filter on it. Not as bad on fuel as everyone imagines, handles well, every pleb wants to race you 8/10

4. Fiesta 1.6 zetec-s TDCI. In grey (2006 model) wifes car which was standard until I started modifying it, now stands 40mm lower on some split euro slag wheels, fitted a boost gauge & remapped it. 6/10

5. Vauxhall Astra Van 1.7 cdti. In silver (2008 model) work van, also remapped. Handles well for a van & is quite rapid, beats a lot of flash cars, should see the look on their faces 7/10

these are all part of my current fleet

Clio 1.4 16v Dynamique - One of my favorites, handled absolutely stunning with a Sachs kit on it, not dissimilar to those on the Cups. 8/10, if it had better seats and was a little bit pokier would have been complete. It wasn't too slow and the amount of MK4 GTIs I destroyed purely because I could bomb past them on roundabouts was incredible. I don't ever remember driving that thing below 5k revs and it still is as strong as an ox, I stuck 12k on it.

MK4 SDI - 2/10. Comfortable and cheap, that's about it.

MK4 TDI - 6/10. Comfortable, good on fuel, solid safe feeling car pokey etc but the drive is so fecking boring. Boost is nice, corners are not.

Passat TDI - 7/10 As above really but a bit more useful. Still useful pulling cars about every week. Even loaded vans don't stop it.

Clio 1.2 - 2/10 Hideous

A8 4.2 Quattro - Odd one, lovely car, just not me. Cruise control set at 130 is all fine and dandy but it's just not a drivers car.

I want a Clio Cup!

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.
