Tow Bar and Electrics Removal
« on: 08 January 2014, 18:08 »
When i bought the car it had a tow bar on and a single plug, i removed the actual hook itselfbut the left the bracket in place and cabled tied the plug up out of the way, thinking  i might use it in the future.

So i have come to the conclusion that i won't use it again and  i want rid of it all.

The rear valance has a hole in it where the bracket is.

Anybody know how the bracket is connected (welded/bolted?)

And what to do to get rid of the electrics?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dead easy really, removed mine a few weeks back.

Look on the towbar for a makers plate and part number then google it for fitting instructions this will tell you how it is fitted and if you will need to source any parts that the towbar has repalced (bumper brackets or support etc).

Electrics wise, follow it back into the car and disconnect it then tidy the loom.

Should not take long to sort.
