Welcome back!
« on: 26 August 2005, 12:49 »
After being in the garage for 6 weeks, I am finally getting the Storm back tomorrow! 6 weeks without my car has been painful, no more climbing into wet leathers to ride to work in the pouring rain, having to wait for my girlfriend to come home so we can go out in her Ka, or watching in envy as I see some of the local VW's driving about.

Welcome back. Why has it been in the garage for 6 weeks?

It went in for a new starter motor and MOT, but the mechanic disconnected the battery and it hasn't started since. They couldnt figure it out, and called in the RAC, who hooked up their diagnostic machine. This could only tell thm that it needed to be taken to a main dealer. Anyhow, I found a mobile autoelectrician who could come out to it. He took a look and worked it back to a corroded terminal in the alarm system. - a 5 minute job that took 6 weeks to find!!!

^ LOL. True, it is a bit of a "girlie car". But when you've been driving a cab for years, you get used to the comments!
And I'm ashamed to say, it has been a lot more reliable than the Corrado lately......
