Decent price for spec / mileage GTI?
« on: 04 January 2014, 13:14 »
Just looking for some input on this car folks:

http://www.speedsgx.co.uk/used-cars/volkswagen-golf-2-0t-gti-3dr-loudwater-201401030786813

I'm off to see this today, and the price seems about right for the spec, although the mileage is higher than I'd like. Is 88k too much to worry about when it has FSH?

Any help would be great. I'm eager to join the gti club after years of dervs.

I've just bought my first Golf on a 55 plate and has done 81000 and has FSH although not all the servicing was done at vw. Not sure about the price as no expert lol but I paid quite a bit less than that for mine.

Had a look at the link, nice wheels on the car tho :)

Well I checked it over and it's sweet as a nut. Comprehensive service history, and was pretty much immaculate. Along with the spec (I.e. Everything possible lol) I'm pretty happy with it overall.  Deposit is down, and once the original plate has been returned (currently on private plate) then it's all mine to collect :D

No discount at all :( putting a new 12 months MOT on it though lol.  It's the perfect spec ive been searching for, and it was very tidy looking car.  I've seen too many sh!t boxes with limited spec for 5-6k, and its not what i want.  Would have loved to take it home cheaper, but i didnt want to lose it by playing hardball (maybe showing my inexperience haha).

Not sure, fingers crossed for this week, but only time will tell.  DVLA have had the paperwork just before xmas to change over the Reg, so once the V5 is back to the dealer, is mine to collect.

Pics will be put up :)

Nothing worse than waiting for a new car lol. I've had mine nearly a month now and as sad as it sounds I really love my car ;)
