Blowing exhaust / poor mpg

I have a quick question would a blowing exhaust lead to poor mpg.
My car with a 2.0 16v is running at 23.2 average and that is over 350 miles of mixed driving.
Not Golf or vag but just wondered.

Depends where the leak is and where lambda sits... if you have a leak in back box then unlikely to cause issues tbh.
Had issue once where exhaust had come undone from straight behind cat - +10~20% fuel consumption.... but what a sound

Looks like the back and middle boxes are blowing tbh.
