question about 4 motion and 1.8 turbo

Curious but is there much work involved in making the 1.8 turbo lump fit in a 4 motion I have seen that people have converted 1.8 turbos to run the 4 motion but with slot of welding so I'm thinking it'd be easier to put the turbo engine into the 4 motion anyone know much about this

engine goes straight in you need a Audi s3 gearbox and your cooking on gas

Best get myself on look out for a 4 motion what about loom wise is it plug n play or not?

Buddy I'm on the same quest lol as far as I know so far you need

1.8 t block + all ancillaries + loom and ecu
S3 gearbox
S3 front drive shafts
S3 engine mounts
Custom exhaust or maybe s3 might fit if you go straight to k04
Then you need to get it all mapped

I'm sure there is more to it but I've left my project book at work which has everything written down in it

Someone offered me one on swapz for my 1.8 turbo I looked on eBay couldn't find another 3 door less than 2k
