Whilst the Mk4 is off the road....
« on: 26 December 2013, 11:25 »
Seasons greeting.

Whilst the cylinder head is off, is there something else I ought to do?

I'm going to replace the oil level sensor as that's faulty, so should I replace the oil pick up too?

As the injectors had to come out, I'm thinking about sending them for ultra sonic cleaning or replacement.

About two years ago, I bought a full set of genuine Forge silicone turbo boost hoses and the TIP, new still in their packaging and have never even opened them yet alone fitting them. I'm wondering whether to sell them on now as I'm not going to uprate/modify the engine above the remap that I have now as my AUM has 148k on the clock.

So, just wondering if there's anything I ought to be doing to ensure the longevity of the engine?

Thanks.

Just looked at the silicon turbo hose set and tip and found the receipt from Awesome in the box, I spent £247.76 and never fitted them
