Is it a turbo?
« on: 25 August 2005, 16:18 »
Im currently looking for my first Golf, im after a GTi 1.8T, ive seen an X reg 1.8GTi, is this going to be a turbo or is it possible that it could be just a 1.8?  I forgot to ask the garage where i saw it & was hoping some1 on here could set me straight!

Thanks for any help!

if it aint advertised as a 1.8 t or 'turbo' chances are its a 1.8 20v normally aspirated model, if it is, unless its cheap dont bother.... there a good car, but not enough power for the weight!! but then saying that unless its a very late registered one it prob is a turbo model.... if it looks like this under the bonnet its a none turbo... (some car dealers havent got a clue as to what there selling....)

I bought a 1.8 GTi non turbo not that long ago. and it doesn't really go that much, i got it on the cheap (under 4000) and I'm gonna sell it for around 5000 with a bit of luck.

Then I'm either getting 1.8t golf or A3, haven't really decided. (maybe an R32 if i can get a bit more money together, but extremely unlikely)
