dansk coolant temp sensor
« on: 18 December 2013, 21:15 »
hi my car has the usual coolant temp sensor issues, from cold it starts spot on but after say a couple of mins it has a bad idle where it nearly cuts out then the revs will shoot back up to a thousand rpm,the car is running rich and it drinks fuel, also takes ages to get to 90 degrees, and doesn't like starting when it gets hot,now going through my receipts it's had a coolant temp sensor that was bought in June this year and it's a dansk europarts jobby, would these cheap ass coolant temp sensors really fail after such a short time,I'm picking a fibi one up tomorrow from my local vw parts specialist just to rule this out, what do you guys think
