coolent gunk?
« on: 25 August 2005, 13:02 »
I noticed yeterday that around two of the top coolent pipes that there is pink gunk around the top where it is jublie clipped in, it's pink because of the pink coolant i guess, but is this normal? i guess the clips are not on tight enough, just wanted to know if this is ok?

btw - i checked the coolent res and all other palces and it's fine, just around the lip of these pipes!

Yeah should be fine. Will just be where its been leaking a little. Tighten up the clips and you should be fine.

Undo the clips right off, and check that the pipe isn't perished and falling apart, before tightening back up. Of they look like they are spliiting, get some new uns.

tighten it up

You also have to redline your engine through all the gears when this happens
