13k seems a bit steep, but then the cost of replacing the airbags, seatbelt tensioners etc, even before bodywork is considered.

What actually happened? The video is a bit unclear...

Do you have the original video? As it's hard to see what's happening with it flashing on & off.

+1

The video isn't particularly clear. I'm assuming you edged out a bit too far from the junction and got side swiped?

If it was with me with that amount of damage I would be getting it repaired and selling it on or trading it in.

That doesn't look like a very clean body shop, nor does it look like a Volkswagen one.  :undecided:
So much dust everywhere.... having to take the entire dash out to replace it is a massive job, hope it goes back together right with no rattle or squeaks.
The main thing is your ok.

I saw the original video of the crash before you took it down. I feel for you.

From watching the first video I'd say the land cruiser is reversing as the Gti came to the junction and backed right into the Gti.

I'd say you are glad you have a dash cam. It would have been easy for the other guy to say that he was parked.

Sorry not back sooner.
The video has been edited a little to protect the innocent?
The jeep had missed the turning and was reversing back, so I should have realized what was happening, Who knows, up to the insurance company now.
Should be getting back soon to will let you all know.
