« on: 17 December 2013, 16:20 »
Hi guys just wondering if you could help.. Its a mk4 golf 1.8t ... Ever since purchasing the car I've been getting erratic idle when stationary after booting it ( full all way on pedal) then it will rev up.. then level out.. then rev up and so on.. so I unplugged maf and it worked perfect so I replaced the maf with a genuine bosch and it was working faultless for 3 days now it's back again .. vac leak? Tb ?? Little help would be good

Could be a number of things, have you scanned for fault codes?

I used carb cleaner and a cloth ,open the butterfly by holding the throttle down with engine off  :nerd: and clean out all the crap in there. Mine did this after a remap and r-tec cleaned it out for free but stole my old cloth.
