Just when I thought my order was issue free
« on: 13 December 2013, 12:19 »
hi Guys,

My build week was 17/11/13. I received a courtesy car from VWUK about 3 weeks ago as it was supposed to be bw 03/11/13 when I placed my order.  This is the issues I have faced:

I have been in regular email contact with my dealer and was fine until recently. Once I got the courtesy car I recieved a call from my dealers as to why VWUK have given me a car? I said im not to sure but cold be down to bw delay  ...he jumped on his high horse, we will not pay for your courtesy car and you need to ring vwuk and ask them and then call us back     yeah right like I work for you, if you cant be bothered to call vwuk then neither can I be bothered to call you back!!!

Then on the 3rd Dec, I receive an email from my dealers with documents attached that I need to complete and sign back. Checked the documents over the weekend and realised that the documents have incorrect figures on and term ( this is about the 3rd time since placing my order I have received incorrect documents with muchhigher figures) . On the Monday I email main dealers back and asked them to check documents before sending out a if I signed the docs there could be an issue.  Then I called VWUK to advise that the dealer has delayed me returning the documents to no fault of my own, they turned around and said we where about to call you as you car has been with the dealers for 2 weeks, they have told us you have been informed and you have not collected the car and the courtesy car needs to be returned asap,
I was fuming, called main dealers and asked why I was not informed, he said well I sort of did tell you, explained we have been emailingbackwards and forwards over the past 2 weeks and no mention of car being with you 2 weeks ago.

Main dealers response was oh your car has the iphone 5 lead and  you should count yourself lucky as the price you are getting the car for with the extras, I dont think anybody in UK is getting this price ( but you supplied me with a quote, so have you made anthor error) once I heard this I told him to cancel my order as have lost trust in this dealership.

Next day VWUK called me avery nice man and i agreed to still go ahead with the order

The thing is I was so happy with everything and at the last few steps they cocked it all up

Question, are you not close/local to the dealership? If you are local I would just go in and go over the figures and sign all required paperwork.
Emailing backwards and forwards can always cause problems or delays but if you car has been delayed and over the 20 week period, your entitled to a courtesy car, let your dealership fight it out with Volkswagen UK.
It seems that your dealership isnt that great when it comes to communications or customer service for you to have to publically post about it  :lipsrsealed:

Finaly bit of advice, don't let it spoil your enjoyment of the car when it arrives  you can always take the car to another dealership for aftercare.

Im about a 80 miles away from the dealer in Tamworth and have used my annuel leave. It makes me feel that the sales person at dealership has made a big error with the figures and stead of just putting his hands up thinks he can slip in increase figures without me being none the wiser. Car being collected next weekend

If you have all the original figures when you took out your order just throw them in his face. Its poor behaviour..... my sales person was 110% great from start to finish, even after I have driven away she is trying to find me a iPhone5 cable
