Engine swap??

A mate of mine currently has a 2001 1.9tdi engine code ALH 90bhp with a blown engine.he's trying to source a replacement but he's struggling today he's come across a 1.9tdi but it's engine code AHF 110bhp,he wants to know are these engines interchangeable??? Cheers Ben

but if not the ahl 110 version will be ok, i take it hell still be using his original turbo?

I think that's the actual engine he's thinking of buying.i think he was hoping of just plugging it straight in he's bin told there identical engines except the injectors are bigger on the ahf

itll have .205 injectors as opposed to .195 injectors.
if he gets that engine it will be just putting his turbo, manifolds andother pumps etc then it should be good to go. id advise chabge the timing belt and tensioner while the engine is out, just in case!
