hi i have just picked this up fair cheap,i think the owner was abit optimistic with the power lol,anyway i have noticed the revs go up and down on idle and it feels like its holding back then all of a sudden the power is there more when cold,my old agu feels quicker and that only had a remap,also its quite bad on juice i would say my 4mo golf was better,what do you think could cause this,the link of the car

ok cheers I don't have vag com but I'm getting a maxiscan off ebay,I'm also thinking it could be a coolant temp sensor

2004 auq, 550cc injectors, gt3071r, adjustable fpr, ebc, fmic, sachs stage 2, walbro 255, 3" turbo back, 3" custom intake, n75 n249 sai delete.

ok cheers if I unplug the maf and it runs better does that mean it's defo gone before I spend money

Buy a vagcom off ebay and scan it with proper stuff.

not sure but when I unplugged mine I had more power.
also a faulty maf will throw up a load of random fault codes.
I had 7 codes because of it

If it is the coolant sensor unplugging the MAF would also cure that, you need a scan to pin point the problem
