Removing Inlet Manifold + Rocker Cover

Removing Inlet Manifold + Rocker Cover.
Is this a hard job do i need any special tools or there a certain way or method.
Its my daily and don't want to mess it up or break anything.
Reason for removal sort all vacuum pipes and maybe a coat of paint on them both tidy it up a little.

After removing the breather pipes, just undo the bolts on the rocker cover and pull it off. You will need a replacement gasket and I think they're about a tenner to buy.

I've never removed an inlet manifold so can't help you with that one.

Mine is a bastard. All the bolts are so tightly on they cant be budged without cracking them. I got good advice from Tweed to get some plus gas fluid to apply to the bolts. Yours might not be as tight though.

Get a good gasket and some high temp silicone sealant, the cheap ones tend to leak a lot quicker especially into the plug recesses fragging your leads and plugs.
Use the silicone around the cam radii to ensure it does not leak
Torque the bolts down to get even compression exactly like a head and bobs your uncle
I always use some sort of lube on the inlet bolts or "dry bolts" just so they come off easier next time.
Worth having a new gasket for the TB and inlet or some gasket sheet to cut a new one, old ones either come off in one piece or two

Ok if you got the money as that all adds up especially as most have not got the skills to port and polish to a good standard. Easier said then done.

A good gasket is only 3 to £4 more than a cheapy, your leads are what £40 for basic set?
Have a gasket handy you can take them back if you don't use them
Lube comes free with CV's and the like, dont use it all keep the sachet
I believe this guy toying with the idea of an enlarged TB and has a spare one on his spare engine......
I am tight, a penny would hit me on the back of my head tight

Well apparently my TB and inlet are matched also some work has been done on head and matched on inlet manifold so it has all been off before so hoping no trouble and we have very good selent here super RTV Silicone made by wurth but once i have it all off i can see.
