Oil Burners
« on: 10 December 2013, 08:25 »
Oil Burners, im used to them. However, how are the TSI's at burning through their oil? I mentioned this to a dealer yesterday and he suggested i should monitor and top up myself before my first 10k service, that being the case what do people recommend?

Should've asked your dealer for a bottle of top up oil when collecting. They'll normally throw one in

Only ever had one of my previous 6 VWs use any oil between services, the one that was badly run in my doing 700 motorway miles during it’d first few days of ownership – that one got through a litre of oil in its first 300 miles and a litre every 2k miles thereafter. It was a 140 2.0TDI PD Golf MK5 GT (55 plate). Mobil 1 is usually the prefered choice for 1 litre top up oils for the car from the dealership these days.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
